Re: Is it me.. or are the forums really dead the last few months?

As MiceChat has evolved these many years, a lot of it's wonderful uniqueness is now missing. I see shades of it now and then, but not nearly as much as I remember. I keep my foot in the door. I can't just quite close it altogether, the way many have.

Fo'C's'le was the best. A perfect balance of loving Disney, remembering when it was at its peak and all with a sharper humor than I have seen.

Thank you Flynn, some humor isn't for the masses where MiceChat is trying to appeal to all. C'est La vie.

I have learned to laugh at myself, and not take everything quite so seriously, due to the threads that I have read these many years. MiceChatters have come in such delightful combinations, and I have learned, and been entertained these many years.

I find it hard to believe that anyone would be scared off a forum because some people have passionate opinions. You can ignore posters if you don't like their content. I find with life whatever you are looking for you find. I come here to post about life but mainly Disney. I have fun reading the forums still I can't really do that on my FB page so I come here. I enjoy reading the opinions of other fans whether I agree with them or not. I have noticed some days are really slow though.

Plus I come to boards for passionate opinions. I have the option to go to Disneyland.go.com if I want the company line.

Boards have an ebb and flow. They do that.

My thought is what was said earlier about there not much new going on now, and I can only armchair redesign Tomorrowland so many times, ya know?

If I could come up with great threads, I would, but not really coming up with anything of late.

One never knows what type of threads will get the most attention. Sometimes I am surprised.

Perhaps the forums are not dead after all.

I agree! Some of the people on MiceChat can be pretty mean. I've been a long time lurker, very recent poster on the forums and I've seen some mean stuff. It's what deterred me away from the forums and made me not want to post anything. But I came back and decided that I'll just ignore the negativity and just be as polite as I can.

MiceChat should not be defined by the very small element that some call "mean". I'd rather define it as the greater group of wonderful people that I have posted with these many years.

Pretty much this is how I feel. A random person on a forum isn't going to hurt me one way or another. I accept that my view is just that, my view. I don't take offense to anyone's stances or even get my feelings hurt when someone tries to lash out at me. That's not how everyone is but I find it way easier to enjoy my time here.
