Ok. This isn't the end of the discussion. I welcome thoughts on this and on the changes as a whole. They are not set in stone and it takes the whole community for me to properly guide these changes so that everyone is looked after.
I can understand SEO stuff for Google, long as the descriptions incorp the keywords that are needed to keep them on top lists.
Universal gets more traffic than Sea World. I fear that dividing it might kill it. I do completely understand though that having the division makes discussion clearer. I will look into it tonight a bit more.
Not blind at all. You are finding the more controversial changes. Have a look here. All of the movie, tv and entertainment discussions are now under the Walt Disney company section to help out search engines and first time readers. I know that it is very different than before but it should help traffic. Before we had all these separate places for news, Disney and general discussion of movies and things. This works to centralize it so that more eyes get to the same place overall. I hope that makes sense.
Sub forums are mainly rated by popularity. It isn't 100% accurate though I'm afraid.
So I assume popularity is gauged by page views or just how much people in general like a topic or something? A certain Disney Collectables subforum that I am biased towards is listed last, but is the only of those 4 subforums with any posts this week.
Duffy's following just isn't as mainstream as Pin Trading. In this case it was just added onto the end. However, there is something to be said for the fact that people notice the end of a list before the middle when the whole list can be seen at one time.
