    What's up with rep?

    Just curious...

I went to add some positve reputation to a funny post and received the message:

You cannot add repution to this post.

Not to the user, but to the post. That's something new, at least it's new to me. Anyone know what forces are at work here?

    Re: What's up with rep?

    The post is too old

    Form the FAQ section...

You may give out up to 10 total reputations per day. However, you have to give reputation to at least 20 different members until you can give it to the same member again. Closed Threads do not accept reputation, and neither do posts that are over 30 days old.

One more rep question... I thought I remembered reading somewhere that rep could not be given to threads in the "Litter Box" forum. Was this ever true, or was that something I just made up in my mind again?

I thought this was a way for a person to redeem himself/herself in order to climb out of the litter box. I think I've seen this at least once.

Rep does still count in the litter box.

I don't think you can give rep to the Outpost threads & you can't give rep to posts older than a certain age.
