Sad Is micechat a little too G rated?

I was pondering this issue because, one of my threads was moved to a litter box that I cant even access it because I'm not a Gold member!
I dont think my post was to racy and I think a lot of people enjoyed it as well! the "rides with the hottest C.M.s" was the thread that was tossed to the side!
Just thought I'd ask my fellow mice chatters what they thought?

I would say that we are more PG. A lot of times, you will offend some people that are not so "adult" and they end up in the box, but the more you are around, the more you can get away with. Like any other place that has so many cliques, if you are not in, you are out. Of course those that do not join, don't post racey things.

Re: Is micechat a little too G rated?

There are appropriate forums for almost everything.

First of all, the litterbox is only viewable by members because we don't need guests viewing our... well, the stuff that goes in a litter box.

Secondly, the regular membership areas are open to the over-13 crowd. This means that MINORS can post there, and anyone with a computer can read what's written there. We have to bear that in mind when we post things in general membership areas.

Only people 18 or older can sign up for MiceChat Gold, therefore, we can have a little more freedom with our discussion without fear of exposing minors to inappropriate concepts.

    HOWEVER...

This is not a porn site, and even our over-18 areas have a "bikini-coverage" limit on content. I think you get the idea.

If you want to be able to discuss adult themes, such as the ones which that thread had devolved into, you have to take it into an area where minors are not going to be reading it.

In fact, when taken as a whole, we actually allow a much greater scope of discussion than many places out there. We're just careful about who sees it.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Micechat is about the most open "G" rated site out there, and I use that term loosely because Ive seen people freak out over someone typing the work damn on other sites.

Hahah from the main page, this thread appears as "Is micechat a little too G..."

And I fully expected a thread asking whether MiceChat was too Gay

Re: Is micechat a little too G rated?

In and of itself, perhaps, but that conversation is a gateway to far worse discussion, as you yourself saw. It's a very slippery slope, and more than a few people lost their footing.

It's not like the thread has gone away, it has just gone into a more appropriate forum. One that is not viewable by the under-18 set.

I would remind you that that thread remained in the general forums for quite some time. It's not like we moved the OP.

Now, is this going to be a general discussion about content, or did you start this thread only to complain about one thread that was moved?

As it was pointed out earlier, it's not the original topic of the thread, but rather how it devolved that caused it to be scooped to the Glitter box.

Re: Is micechat a little too G rated?

I think Mice chat has to be g rated as for reasons stated by morrigoon... the minors who read on here... it is un appropriate to have bad things said, etc (dont want to say what bad things of course)..

this has to be g rated.. and I dont think it is over g rated
