Typing something in caps - is there a trick?

Why is it that sometimes when I want to type something in caps, when I hit "post", just the first letter of each word is capitalized? Regardless of whether I use caps lock, or shift, it does this.

Not all the time, just some of the time.

    Maybe because of abbreviations?

AS LONG AS ONE LETTER IS NOT A CAPITAL SOMEWHERE IN YOUR POST, IT WILL WORK. THE SMILIE LETTERING IS LOWERCASE SO THE REST SHOWS UP AS CAPITAL LETTERS. OF COURSE THIS MIGHT CHANGE NOW.

i Think You Can Type In All Caps If You Italicize Or Bold It.

    eta: NOPE, I WAS WRONG.

    eta2: WHAT THE HECK?

I THINK SOMEWHERE IN YOUR POST, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A LOWER CASE LETTER.

    Let Me Try And See

EDIT: Yup... I was right! Is that why some people's posts come out with every first letter capitolized? It's starting to make sense now! I actually find it more annoying when the first letter is capitolized than the entire paragraph.
