I'm not sure how much we are able to discuss this at this point, but I'm all in favor of letting people read the comments. I think the purpose of negative rep is to be instructive, and if there are no comments and suddenly the person goes red, how in the world would he or she know what set people off? At the same time, I like giving a big high five to people who post something extremely useful or poignant. I feel cheated in a way that when I DO give positive rep, that person has absolutely no clue.
So yeah....being able to read the comments would be a big plus.
No and you can't compliment people more than once per 30 days. And I like complimenting people...
So do I...I'm still not sure, even after doing all the reading, why the change had to be made. But I'll admit it...while it wasn't a really important thing to me, I liked to get the positive comments from other members.
There. I said it. (LOL)
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
I'm not sure how much we are able to discuss this at this point,
The rules say that any discussion of reputation is strictly prohibited, and that is a complete mystery to me, but we can't discuss why we can't discuss reputation, so I guess I'll never have an answer. I totally understand not discussing what, why and who you give rep to, but not the general discussion of the procedures. Perhaps they should put the answers to these questions in the FAQ's so we don't have to discuss what we can't discuss.
