    I suppose so.

I heard otherwise about what it is about; it makes sense.

It's an old (70's) country song. I should have given you advance warning.

A beer company later made TV commercials with the tune, albeit heavy rock and way up-tempo.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Tom T. Hall...the old story-teller...also said in another song of his, that there ain't but three things in this old world, worth a solitary dime...

Old dogs, and children, and watermelon wine.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I like listening to music that doesn't use a lot of computerized noise.

Devo and The Faint are exceptions, but they don't over do it or strictly rely on it.

Do you have any plans for our birthday this weekend? Sadly, I do not... but then again, it is getting increasingly more depressing to be celebrating when you get my age, lol!!
I don't have anything really huge planned sadly. Mom's thinking of taking me to a pub by the house at 12:01am so I can buy my first drink. Then we are going out to dinner somewhere as a family that night. I'm half excited to be 21 and half sad. It's the last big birthday I get to celebrate for a good long while and I won't be looking forward to those birthdays.

It's all good, and actually I enjoyed the song. Not the melody, but the lyrics. Just a kicked back song about loving life, what's not to love.

I like electronica, and I actually dig songs with autotune. Not all songs, but I do like autotune.

Oh I've heard of them. I listen to alt rock and a lot of contemporary stuff... but I've been on a big band kick lately. Of course I listen to just about anything but rap and hip hop. Their song is one of those songs that gets stuck in your head.

I guess it's better that I don't know what I am missing. I lead such a sheltered life. I shelter myself from many things.
