I play this all the time with people and it's really fun and easy to learn:
Serious Proverbs are supposed to sound like this: Do not fear going forward slowly; fear only to stand still.
Silly Proverbs can sound like this: Llamas sleep only when bubbly, rough, pink hens sing "Hallelujah"!"
So, each person will contribute a word and the proverb can go as long as anyone wants. When a person feels that they want to end the proverb, they will include the last word of the proverb and put a period. Then another person can start a whole new one.
