It is chilly in Chicago. My house is nice and warm. When I woke up this morning, I noticed that the heat went on. That always tips me off to just how cold it is outside. So I guess I'll dress warm, and spend some time now seeing what's new in New Posts.
I don't drive. I never learned. I never wanted to. Cars are expensive, and a hazzle to fix, or have fixed when the need arises. My husband hit and killed a deer about a month ago, and it cost over $3,000 dollars to fix. Thank goodness his deductable is only $500.
I am glad that the majority of my days are spent not getting into a car. I tell my husband it is a necessary evil of our lives.
The washing machine must enter one of our days at some point in time. It beats the thought of how pioneer women had to wash the laundry. Today's modern conveniences makes each and everyone of my day's a brighter one.
I like getting up early. Then I get to relax a bit before I plan how to spend my day. I need to change all my calendars to the month of May. I was married in the month of May back in 1966, and it's still working to this day.
Speaking of food, I just returned from my usual Sunday morning breakfast out. It was a Mexican style breakfast this morning. I just love refried beans and spanish rice. So yummy! Now what should I do to work it all off?
