Well, I'm thinkin' about all that candy I've got in the refrigerator now from 50% Off Chocolate Day, you
know, the day after Easter... I suspect it will last me until the next 50% Off Chocolate Day...the day after Halloween...but, I better go test the stuff right now. I know, that's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it...so I'm headed for the refrigerator...

Friendship needs to be a two way street. Sometimes it just isn't.
Thinking that no matter how high you think of your friends, it is a bad idea to team up with them when money is involved.
I hate borrowers. Too much of what has been borrowed from me has never been returned.

I am sorry to hear about your neighbor. I know you have a love/hate relationship, so this news must make you feel a myriad of things right now.
On the plus side, my Grandpa's wife had a blood clot in her lung about a year ago. She was in the hospital for a bit, and has recovered. Although this is a serious condition, it is something people can live with. She is healthy enough now to have just recently undergone knee surgery and will be having another surgery on her other knee soon. She is in her late 70's, a bit younger than my 91 year old Grandpa....
I hope your neighbor recovers as well.
Wishing I had the luxury to go to all of the functions at my daughter's school.
