I'm thinking that I've been on hold on the phone with the health insurance company for 30 minutes now and if they don't pick up I may or may not have to do something desperate.

I'm thinking that I have a limit of 5 minutes on hold. Chances are the person that put you on hold, doesn't have a clue what they are doing, so you are better off talking to someone else.
