Yeah, now that I think about it, I didn't really have close friends at my old school, either. I ate lunch with them and went over to their houses, but I don't think any of us really understood each other or shared much of what we were going through at the time with each other. Here I have an acquaintance I talked to last year, she used to live in Anaheim so we talk about Disney and OC a lot, but she's moving back to Anaheim and won't even be here next school year. I had another acquaintance that liked Disney and would talk about it with me, but I only had one class with her and we had different lunches so I never really got to see or talk to her much, but maybe we'll have the same lunch next year and some classes so we can become friends. I know I'll meet more people next year when I have different classes, but I'm just dreading going back to school now in case I don't. I like my school and I like my classes and everything, but social aspects of it are what scare me.

It is hard to fit in the social atmosphere of high school.

When I was 16, we moved out here to Orange County. It was awful. I hated it. the smell of eucalyptus still brings back all those bad memories, lol.

It is NO fun to be the new kid in the middle of high school. People are so mean and stuck up, especially here is South Orange County. I never made alot of friends. I still have one friend from that high school that I talk to though.

You just gotta be yourself, and not worry about the cliques and all the high school drama. Believe me, there are others who feel as you do, but they don't say anything....

Yeah, I lived in Orange County for elementary school, and there was a maximum of only ten students per grade, and many of the people I met were very arrogant and I didn't really make friends myself, friends were kind of forced upon all of us since there were so few people. I remember then I got through it by going to Disneyland a lot. My school was right near it so we went a lot after school and almost every weekend. Now at least I have MiceChat since I don't go to Disneyland as often.

I'm going to just be myself and if I can't find any friends right away to eat lunch with or anything I could always just read or work on homework.

Being yourself is all you can do! you will be surprised if you do your own thing someone else will notice they have something in common with you and thats all it takes to spark a friendship! The unfortunate thing of humans and life is that you are never going to find someone that fits perfect you just need to find people that share common interests and personality traits that they are fun to be around and add something to your life as you will add to theirs!

That's true, lying about my interests and myself would make me miss out on true friends that share interests and traits with me.
