Re: RCMC # 114: Llama's floating along, on the inner tube of life....

Thanks, Chessica. One thing we have in our family is cute babys. I just wish that I would get to see my nephew's daughter more. I would see her when she was a little girl. Then sometimes her and my grandson would play together. Her name is Brittany, and she would tease Sean, about how she was older. Older by a whole two months. Of course, Sean didn't care. Anyway, now she is a mom, and my sister in law is a great grandmother. My how time flys. It's a shame, my brother isn't alive to see his first great grandchild, and my mom's first great-great grandchild.

OOOO, cute baby! I want to snuggle him!

And then give him back when he poops. I am well past the diaper stage.

I never minded changing the diapers. It was washing the diapers that got to me. Although, I had diaper service with my two boys. Yes, I had my children way before the days of disposable diapers. I hate those things. Although Sean's parents used them, but when I watched him, I used regular diapers at my house, and washed them in my washer and dryer, which I didn't own when I had my own kids.

Aw, Barb! That is great. Another healthy baby for your family!

    What a totally adorable baby!!

It's been a long time since I've held one so small, but the pleasantness of some memories never fades.

It might be a while for me, my youngest is 17, and my oldest (27) and his wife are not planning to start their family for another 3 years.

But the wait will be so worth it!!

I'm not on a year round system, but I got out June 3. Also, we have breaks for everything, like we have a week off for Thanksgiving, three weeks for winter holidays, a week for president's day, random three day weekends, things like that, so maybe that's why. I guess I would rather start earlier, though, because it's worse during the year when you want a break and then you have shortened breaks.

3 years? Tell them to get on it, already! lol

You are right though.... it will be so worth the wait. Those are some lucky kids to have you for a grandpa!

    Oh, I am fine....

Just putting jammies on Happy. He would be perfectly happy running through the house al fresco, and he is mighty cute that way, but it is just not socially acceptable, lol.

    How are you tonight love?

Kids are absolutely hilarious, aren't they?

Too bad they have to grow up!

I'm doing well. I had to get certified for medium-voltage (like overhead power lines) terminations. There's a bit more to these than simply stripping the insulation away, each one takes about 1/2 hour.

The fact that I've been doing these terminations occasionally for about 21 years doesn't matter, I now have to have a piece of paper to say I can do them.

It went pretty good though, it was me and about 1/2 dozen other guys. We all had extensive experience, so they gave us a piece of wire and the stuff to terminate it with, and watched us do our thing.

Took about an hour or so.

When I went to school, there were very few days off, but summer vacation was long.

I think I'd rather have a short summer and more blocks of time off during the year.

Yeah, you should have seen him running around the house.

    Ah, innocence....

Well, now that you have the piece of paper you are all official and stuff....

Um... less than 3 weeks to Expo.... I should start making some real plans for that Saturday night at Trader Sam's.... wonder if 6 PM is good or if I can get there by 5 .... I told Jenn I'd be doing something Sat. night and wouldn't be able to work the Expo then....
