well, the first thing I said about them was that they were nice. but yes, I'd prefer them over frat boy-type guys.

it was so crowded! crazy. it took like 10 minutes just to walk down a row, without stopping to talk to anyone.

Kevin, did you sign up for Quidditch at least?

no, I didn't see any sign ups for it... I did see people running around with brooms though. I want a t-shirt.

hello! just got back from an activities fair where I signed up for way too many mailing lists. I got a ton of community service "clubs" and whatnot so I will probably join one or two. the problem is narrowing it down I suppose. I also got a ton of "I felt bad for the person handing out fliers because they looked lonely" clubs. such as the Korean Students Alliance (or something).

now I have a couple hours off until a ginormous New Students BBQ at 3:20. I've met so many new people the past couple days that I'm getting kind of overwhelmed by all the names and faces. a girl came up to me and apologized for missing the movie last night since she had an allergic reaction and had to go to the hospital, but it took me a while to remember if I had ever met her in the first place. lol.

speaking of the movie, I didn't go to the 50/50 preview as planned, since the line was insane. instead, a group of us watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail in one of the lounges. then on my way back to my room, another group called me in to play a game with them, which ended up lasting until 3:00.

I guess that's it. right now I'm deciding if I should just relax in my room for a bit or go out.

random aside: my roommates are nice, but they're both international students from China and prefer to keep to themselves, or be with other Chinese international students. it's kinda sad for me, since I'm just kinda on the side if we're all in the room. oh well. I guess it's more incentive for me to not be in the room.

Roommates are always a challenging part of life.... and one you will have to be dealing with for some time to come. Try to make the best of it, and maybe in time once you guys get to know each other a bit better things will mellow out and you will find some common ground and will be able to do some stuff together!

Hi, everyone! I had to walk home today, I just got home. I hate walking, and it's so hot! I thought it was going to get colder. I wouldn't mind walking in the rain, anything but the heat and sun.
