lol... my Dad had some very colorful names for those birds. Needless to say, we never went in there much as a kid.

And Ringo Starr? What the? I'm more of a Monkees girls myself.
I grew up watching the old monkee's live action show. Didn't have cable so I watched a
LOT of 60's shows and educational cartoons on PBS. You'd think I'd be twice my age with a childhood that included The Andy Griffith Show, I Love Lucy, The Monkees, The Beatles cartoon, The Munsters....I could go on and on.

I don't think I'd trade those for anything on cable!

And its morning.... so did not want to get out of bed... so tired... so cold.... which is silly because its really not THAT cold, but its cold to me. And no matter what the groundhog said, spring must already be here because I saw a robin outside the window at the hospital when I was eating my lunch.

Re: RCMC #118: Celebrate the Joy of the New Year with New Friends and Old!

Well we never really got Winter, so I keep thinking it's another season every time that I leave my house, which isn't often enough. Often enough, however, to be grateful that there's been no snow to shovel, or have to walk through.

I woke up with a splitting headache this morning, which is not the greatest thing to have on a Monday morning. Mondays are supposed to start out perfect, and be all full of great plans and hopes for the week coming up.

My husband did our taxes yesterday and there's enough money for our vacations for sure. I might even be able to pay down a bill, or do something badly needed around the house.

I should set up my Wii in my newly organized room, and do some much needed exercise. Better yet, I should go for a walk outside. Fresh air is always good for a headache.

I wish there were more trip reports from the Anniversary. It seems like every year there are less and less. I love the pictures, but the commentaries are really fun to read, when people take the time to do them.

    Happy Monday.

The Chew is doing a Decades week on their show. Today they opened up their show, with all the hosts of the show dressed up like Mouseketeers. Today's segment is featured with food that originated in the 50's.

Although one host is obviously not Disney savvy. He called his "ears" a hat.

Now that is definitely an interesting choice. Is that with, or without some orange juice?

Food that was popular in the 50's.

    Jello molds.

    Salisbury Steak.

Then of course, there was the favorite segment from "I Love Lucy". You remember the Candy episode, of course.

Re: RCMC #118: Celebrate the Joy of the New Year with New Friends and Old!

My day turned out pretty good considering how I woke up with a bad headache.

While I was sorting stuff in my room today, I ran across all my old Pokemon games. I have them all. Yellow, red, blue, gold, silver, crystal, ruby, sapphire, emerald, leaf green, fire red, pearl, diamond, platinum, and the new ones black and white. I was surprised to discover that most of my old games had no Pokemon in them. I didn't remember leaving them that way. Oh well, it is what it is. I like having the games, and perhaps one day, I can replay a few of them.

I am hooked again on Young and the Restless. I guess I can than U-Verse for that.

still haven't heard back from that job interview. We're entering week 2 (14 days tomorrow). All I really want is verification that a decision has been made, regardless if I got the position or not. I hope they give me a call either way so I know what I'm doing.
