RCMC #119 - A Call To Action! Come One! Come All! Come Once, Come Again, and again..

All any of us can do Jim is just keep pushing forward.... one day at a time. Do the best we can, while we can, and in between hang out in here with our friends!

I just spent some time scanning through Monster.com and Careerbuilder... there are some jobs but... some are listed as temp jobs... most require at least 2-4 years experience (how do you get experience with no job?), many require at least a BA (Clint only has a AA)... and my daughter who will have a BA has it in a field that is laying off left and right and cutting back.

So frustrating sometimes... but...have to keep our head up and looking ahead... coz things have a way of working out the way the are suppose to... just have to be patient.

Well wasn't that timely for myself. I've applied to 10 jobs in the past several days and about to apply to another.

This new one is in Sacramento. Not really liking the idea of moving so far from home but you have to do what you have to do in these tough times.

Congratulations on the 7,000th post.

Weird couple of days. Working hard on the solo practice and applied so many jobs in the field of law that I really want to work in. In fact I found another place to apply to just 10 minutes ago but it requires moving to Northern California. Not sure how I feel about that.

I taught a civil litigation class this week and it went really well! That was fun!

You must be a very smart man to be a lawyer. My son went to school with a young man who became a lawyer. However, his friend moved away to Seattle, and they lost touch with each other.

Dave, will keep thinking good thoughts that you find something... somewhere... that you end up loving doing. Sacramento at least isn't super far away. You will be farther from Disneyland... But still its only a bit more than half way up the state.

2) Patience. A good thing to have. A hard thing to practice.

1) My Uncle is a lawyer in WA for Costco.

2) True. Patience is a struggle at times.

Even if I could have been there, there's no way I would ever attend this type of event.

As I read the threads, it reminds me of what goes on in Chicago, on the lakefront for the 4th of July.
