Alrighty.... I need to start working on Christmas stuff. Yes, you read that right... Christmas. I use to start working on my Christmas cards in August. This year, since I don't have access to some of my files since I can't use Appleworks I feel like I'm behind. I do have access to my newsletter, but my card list is on a database and that I can't open. And I can't find a good (free) data base program.

Still considering trying to find a cheap, older Mac laptop on eBay that is still running Leopard or Snow Leopard so I can access Appleworks again....

Christmas is how many days away? It's going to be a sad Christmas this year, with my brother gone. Also my husband's brother in retiring, and moving away. Yes, it will definitely be sadder.

Each year, I send and receive less cards.

Now, it's off to bed for me.

I'm afraid to count the days.... I'm afraid there aren't as many as I think there are!

It seems like my Christmas card list gets shorter and shorter too.... I guess that comes from getting older... for some reason instead of adding more names to the list more of them disappear....

And as time goes on I simplify Christmas more and more. I use to put up a ton of decorations. Now I just put up my little artificial tree and call it done for the most part.

i love christmas time especially the music. it helps me to relax and enjoy the music. the music of course helps out with the stress that something it brings but this is my favorite time of the year now through the new year.

My favorite new past time is looking at Disneyland videos on Youtube. If I can't be there, I can watch the videos of other people having a good time. Makes me a little jealous, but I love hearing the sounds most of all.

TGIF! Movie and popcorn day at school today. Looking forward to when Brave comes out on DVD in November so I can buy it and see it. Yup... I didn't see it when it was in theaters. I knew I'd end up buying it anyway!

I actually had a sandwich for dinner. Sometimes a person needs to check the fridge, and see what's in there before they decide what to eat.

Dinner... I had a salad, some rice and tilapia.

Now I just need to get back to doing my walking. But its still so flipping hot and sticky outside.

I am hoping that perhaps when my husband and I are on vacation, we can start walking together. The resort in Wisconsin has a lot of walking paths. Just maybe if we do, the habit will carry over back to Chicago.

The one feature at MiceChat that I really miss is the "Views" feature. Many people read threads, and never reply. It would be nice to know how popular a thread is, even if people have nothing to contribute, or refuse to reply to perhaps a touchy subject.

Every day I say... today I will get started walking again. And thats as far as the thought gets. Like now... I could go out and if not walk at least do some yard work. That would be exercise. But no... I sit here...

I miss that too. I guess it was using up to much bandwidth or something so Hastin has to shut it off. But it was nice to see that at least people were looking at things like trip reports even if they didn't say anything.

I just spent some quality time with my grandson and his girlfriend Samantha. She came down to ask me to crochet her an afghan, and after we discussed that we started looking at scrapbooks. It was a fun hour looking at the scrapbooks that I have made of all the times that Sean has been at both Disney World, and Disneyland.
