RCMC# 121: Life is a highway... with friends along for the ride!

Its been empty... its been quiet... I've been busy. Well, I've been pretending to be busy anyway... :D

It has been VERY quiet. I must say I did my best though....

Seriously? Its only 9:30 and I'm falling asleep at the keyboard? Tomorrow maybe I'll actually take that nap in the afternoon.

sometimes i feel like the night goes by slowly and it sort of makes me sleepy a bit

Found my costume today! Had my friend alter it just a tad so it looks all spiffy! She found a shop downtown that is a year round costume shop. 3 stories of pure awesomeness! I never wanted to leave.

TGIF. Movie and popcorn day, then a couple of us are going to lunch at Carl's jr.... then I need to come home and get stuff done since I work this weekend...

I'm surprized Barbara hasn't peeked in here. She usually has WiFi where she stays in the Dells and she generally peeks in between her adventures.:blink:

yAy costumes! Sounds like a fabulous place, Amanda...I'm slightly jealous now. I still have to do the alterations on my costume....maybe tomorrow.

Fridays are my days to open the cafe, so I'm at work right now. Gotta get my car washed today and I'm participating in a study on memory and aging later this afternoon. Grandma wants to go out tonight, so I have an evening at Sam's Club planned...I know, I can barely contain my excitement :lol:

I was wondering about Barbara as well...maybe she's having so much fun IRL that she doesn't have time for us...hehe, there are worse things.

I've been peeking, just not typing.

We came home early. Actually, we had car trouble, and now we also have a major plumbing problem to deal with. There's water leaking in my tenant's apartment from the new construction. I believe they are going to have to go up through her ceiling to find out what's up. Tomorrow my husband will have to take his car back to our son the mechanic, and get some repairs done.

Our vacation was nice, but coming home to this kind of aggravation sure puts a damper on that. If I had know how much trouble that attic renovation was going to cause, I never would have ever started any of it. I have my grandson here, but at what cost to my sanity?

Sorry you had to come home early.... and had car trouble... and came home to such a mess.... It always seems to be something doesn't it!

Your renovation and my property in Idaho... yeah a major cause of stress. So disappointed that the property management let it get into such run down condition. If she had told me stuff needed to be worked on I would of taken care of it. But she just let whoever was in there do what ever they wanted and now I'm having to try to almost start over.

At least the kids have hot water and heat.... still no floor (they tore out the old carpet) just the subfloor. She got the kitchen painted, but need to have some kitchen and counter work done. If she ever gets me the measurements so I can get the new flooring ordered...

Now I had trouble putting up a new avatar. I can't really explain the problem. I did it the usual way, but when the file appeared it came down from the top in an unusual fashion rather than in a new window, When I clicked on it nothing happened. When I tried to close the file, I couldn't. The only way to get rid of the non functioning items was to close Safari. I finally put the file on the desktop, and dragged it to the page where you choose the file. It was very strange.

I'm not sure what the plumber is going to say when I call him tomorrow. Not sure he's going to want to tackle this job, since we really don't know where the water is exactly coming from, which means they will have to put a hole in my tenant's ceiling to find out. I am ready to scream, and my husband is starting to make snide remarks about my bad choice in contractors. Can't blame him, but it doesn't help matters to be criticized now for my past mistakes.

Well since I'm working this weekend think I'll head out early. Been waking up well before the alarm goes off.
