My grandson is now an official College Student. He starts classes on October 29th at DeVry Institute here in Chicago. He is smiling, and is very happy at the moment. Hopefully his studies will go well.

Congrats for Sean! Glad he found something that interests him and that he is going after it. I had a friend that went DeVry here in CA, it was for IT degree, cost a blinding quarter though. Think it ran $50k or more.Originally Posted by Barbaraann
Crazy how much schooling can cost these days. Even just getting a simple certificate will can run you $10k.
Sean has about 1/3 of the tuition money in savings bonds, which we won't cash in until we absolutely have to. In the meantime, his mom has helped Sean with the financial aid paperwork. Some of the aid is free money, and the rest he won't have to pay back until he is out of school.
