Its spirit week at school. This week is what is called the Battle of the Bell. There is a bell trophy that goes to the school that wins the football game this week. We are playing our "cross town rival" 29 Palms. I think they won last year. We'll see if we get it back.

So today is Black Out day. I guess we are suppose to dress in all black. Tomorrow is crazy hair day, Wed Halloween so they can come in costume, Thursday is... fake and injury day??? Whatever that is... or who ever came up with that one. Then Friday is standard Black and Gold Friday, the school colors.

And off I go for the day....
    Morning Pengy!
Thanks for clearing that up. And what is fake an inury day? That sounds dangerous!

I hope you all are dong well this morning. My trip report from the Halloween event is up and I think it might be one of the first very positive reports of the event this whole season! I had a blast!

I receied my mail ballot this weekend. I'm gonna look it over on my lunch as I've never done voting by mail. I'm very excited to be able to vote for this presidential election.

Anyway, today is a better day. I'm doing a Halloween event at the colleges where they open up one of the dorms for the children of the community to come and trick-or-treat. We are doing a cookie decorating station, so I was baking 13 dozen sugar cookies last night. We'll see how it goes, right now I'm just tired.

    Morning all!

Well in all fairness...I've done my fair share of yelling at my kid because I've told him for the 20th time to get his shoes on (for example). But name calling/cursing....nope.

I can pretty much say with full confidence that being a parent, for me, has pushed my patience to the limit many times...But I love my kid and wouldn't have it any other way.

Did CPS come to their house?

I thought long and hard before I called, knowing that yelling happens....but this was extreme. Its hard to re-tell accurately, especially when I can't repeat what was said as there would be nothing but asterisks! I haven't heard back from anyone, so I don't know the status.

Mostly I was concerned for the psychological welfare of the child.

You did the right thing. Yelling and cussing at the child for peeing on the seat is outrageous. I remember, when I was teaching my boy to please make it into the toilet and to PLEASE flush, it was a trying time. Especially when I walk into the bathroom and almost slip and fall on my butt because there is pee all over the floor. I actually laughed a bit at that one.

Oh I don’t think I posted about Dralion on Saturday. Wow was that an amazing show! They were flying in the air and flipping through hoops and just wow. There was an actually live music performers playing drums, keyboard etc. It was amazing. And of course the silly “clown” types were hilarious.
I’m going to try and win the tickets from my employer everytime they get raffled! But next up is more Hockey games J

Hmmm, I guess it never occurred to the father that it was possibly because of the training his son received is the reason why he still pees on the floor?? Kids are quite literal, if you start to talk to them or ask them a question while they are peeing, they will automatically turn to you and still keep peeing. I've seen it done and kind of cracked up. It's not intentional as much as almost a reflex for them, until they train themselves to concentrate on what their doing more.

Anyway, poor kid though. Hope all works out well.

I'm not sure... I guess you are suppose to come to school with a fake injury? Like... pretend to have a broken arm or something like that? Yeah, I won't be participating in that one...

Are you sure that you are looking at the right part of Virginia?

Nothing is happening here but slushy flurries and occasional high wind.
Now back home...that's a different story.
