Please let me know what you think.
This was filmed at the Beach Boys 50th reunion show in Berkeley, CA, three days after the show I saw Memorial Day night in Santa Barbara. This is one of my favorite parts of the show, since my late cousins Dennis and Carl Wilson, whom I loved very much, are brought back to life by modern technology.
First is Dennis with the wonderful song he wrote, "Forever". Then it's Carl, singing lead as he did on the original recording of my favorite song Brian Wilson ever wrote, God Only Knows.

Dennis died in a boating accident in 1983, and Carl died of cancer in 1998. I was so glad that the surviving members kept their memories alive in this way.
Another favorites of my husband.
I loved this movie.

I think this thread needs a little more love, and I sure wish the "Views" feature was still active.

Tripping down memory lane... this and Sounds of Silence are probably my two fav Simon and Garfunkle songs.
Ok I lied... I forgot about this one....
Between 5th and 6th grade, I played this one so much I'm surprized I didn't grind that part of the LP to nothing... pre teen angst... this song spoke to me...

Barbaraann, Pengy and all...nice work keeping the thread going! Love Simon and Garfunkel, and Nat King Cole is my all time favorite vocalist.
Since I've missed some time here I am taking a two-fer.
First, a dedication to the Angels...frustration again after all the expectations anbd again missing the playoffs...this Willie Nelson classic came to mind...

And on the subject of sports...football season and all...

Now that's country.
What do you think? I would like to know.
Two awesome songs Barry! I've always thought that Willie really didn't have much of a singing voice, but I still liked him and a lot of the stuff he did. That one in particular was a beautiful one!
And I always found the second one amusing... :D
Barbaraann, that is one of my favorite Beatles tunes. Thanks for posting!
And Penguinsoda, thank you for your nice words! I love Willie. My old station, KHAY, sponsored his performance at the Ventura County Fair one year. He overslept at the Holiday Inn nearby, and was nearly two hours late for his show. Beer sales had been cut off, so yeah...that was a "friendly" crowd...

The Hollies...a perhaps underrated band from the 70's.
