I worked with people who worked at Disneyland when Walt was alive. Based on what they told me then, Walt's image was as you might imagine not exactly like the man in reality.
While he was not totally consumed by the profit motive, he certainly was not averse to it. The premise behind "that" thread is flawed because the Walt Disney of then, as best I can tell, has been greatly "romanticized" from reality. While he was interested in providing quality family entertainment, he was also interested in making money. And his brother Roy was a businessman even moreso.
My vote for a "third" gate in Anaheim woud be for Yesterland...at least back to the late 70s when I was still a young man and having the time of my life working there. Paging Rod Serling. Til he shows up, I will choose to enjoy today, and what is right in front of me.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

    The question of the day:

Would you rather fight 100 duck sized horses, or 1 horse sized duck?

I'm afraid of animals, so either way, I'd be running away instead of standing strong and fighting.

    Sounds great!

Indeed! I shall work on that a bit later! Just peeking in before I try to tear myself away to finish up some stuff.

    Notice I said "try."
    Thank you!!

I'm hoping there are some night owls on here so I can chat during my overnight shifts! Either way, I'm looking forward to some good conversation with some good people.

Re: RCMC #122: We're All Just a Bit Scattered

I am definitely a horse person, but I'd still take one horse-sized duck over a hundred duck-sized horses. I have found that the smaller the horse, the more of a jerk it usually is! Those things would be pure, tiny evil. The duck, I would train is so I could ride it, because that would be AWESOME. If IT was pure evil, though, and I had to fight it I would feed it rice... because I've heard that does terrible things to ducks.
