They JUST put her on this after the stroke. Funny thing, the med sheet says "tell your doctor if you are diabetic or have had a stroke before taking this medication"...!!!!!!!! Um, she is diabetic, and she's here because she had the stroke, so....why in holy hell are they even giving her this?!?!?!

The CNA is being great, but the RNs just saw her for the first time today and they don't realize how much worse she is...and they are blowing us off. And the doctors are gone. So we're stuck til tomorrow morning.

Thanks guys, for being so great! I have a bit of a one track mind right now. It's a little all-consuming.

For sure keep pushing them tomorrow! If she is not getting better then you need to keep on them. There should also be an in house patient rep or patient advocate.... ask to talk to them. They are there to be a go between for the patient/family and staff, and even though they work for the facility, they are usually very good at listening and helping to speak up for the patients!
