I feel like I've accomplished absolutely nothing today. I started my walks again yesterday, but the weather was too freezing and gloomy today. I woke up at 10:30, but I fell asleep and woke up again at 1:30. Lol

The weather in Chicago has been really nice. Mostly, I am happy that we haven't gotten any snow.

I have been watching the weather in Anaheim, and forming a plan for what clothes I should pack.

Re: RCMC #124: I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Chatting!

My nephew, Jason called today. He's my sister's son. He called to thank me for the Christmas present that I gave his son. Jason works two jobs, and he wasn't able to make our family's Christmas party. I thought it was nice how it took time out of his very busy life to call me.

By the way, his son's name is Jake.

It was really nice here today. Probably in the mid 60's. I packed up my Jack in the Box lunch, took all my camera gear (except for my tripod) my iPod and headed out to "The Monument" as us locals call it, or better known as Joshua Tree National Park.

I think I'm going to hang up my camera.... I didn't put the hood on and almost all of the first set of pics I took have vignetting... some of them it looks kind of cool, but it would of been nice to NOT have it unless I added it later. I switched to my 300mm lens and didn't put on the polarizing filter and those shots turned out so over exposed I couldn't do anything with them. Switched back to my Tamron lenes without the filter and... same thing. Plus my focusing was really soft.

I think I just need to go back to shooting with a P&S...

I don't want to take the chance of not getting any good pictures with my new camera. So I am packing both the new one, and the old one for my trip.

Both of my cameras are just simple Point & Shoot - Nikons. The new one has more megapixels of course. However, I have had a lot of trouble with the settings. Hopefully during my trip, I can practice, each day, taking better pictures.
