I am a sports fan. I love all the sports. I root for all the Chicago teams. So many other teams have knocked them out of the race, or kept them from being champions. I guess when that happens, sometimes people get so emotionally spent that they feel hatred for the opposite team. I just never have.

I remember my cousins treated myself and my kid to an Angels game and when I told the only ball game we had been to was Dodgers...i almost got tarred and feathered. I like the Angels and I like Dodgers but I don't follow it to well to have a favorite.

I really just like live sports in general. The cheering! The jumping up when home team scores. That's really it.

Re: RCMC #125: Dude, Where's My Burger?

My brother was the one who got me liking sports, especially baseball. He taught me to hit, and catch, and bat. I was pretty good for a girl. I wish they would have had girls sports teams in school when I was there. The girls today are lucky. If I was a kid today, I'd join all the teams.

My first major league game as a spectator was Wrigley Field, Chicago. It's a great place to watch a ballgame. I root for the Sox as well. My brother told me you can't root for both Chicago baseball teams, and I said, "why not, they both belong to our city?"

I'm pretty neutral about teams that aren't "my" team. The only real exception to that is the Eagles and the only reason for that is Michael Vick. As long as he is attached to them (or to any team) I will continue to hope that that team loses.
