She had several seizures yesterday and is now in CICU at yet another hospital. They are running tests, but she is not really expected to live much longer. Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers.
I may not be around too much, but I'll try to pop in now and then. You guys are great, and really provide me with some sanity sometimes. And I'm still planning on being at the anniversary, so I'll see some of you then.
Sending some thoughts your way... I'm sorry that she is not doing well. I know when you first put her in the rehab place you had such high hopes that she would get better...

I even got a nap in too! Told my hubby I wanted to lay down for about 45 minutes... that was at 2:30... at 4:15 the dog jumps on the bed and wakes me up!
And I'm still sitting here yawning...

Glad to hear you are feeling better!! Still sending good thoughts for your job search too!

There are 6 techs. One is still out on medical leave... going on her 4th month.
One quit and his last day was Saturday.
One turned in her notice today.
They have hired one new person.
So they are down 50% of the techs, and have only hired one new person.
This I agree with. But if offered a regular Pepsi and a regular Coke, I'm going Coke all the way lol.
Not a Coke fan, but I will drink Coke Zero...

Our workload in general is the issue. We work 12 hour shift and are basically monitor tech/unit clerk no matter if we have 4 patients for 45. We are responsible for watching the cardiac monitors AND answering 5 phone lines, taking off orders the doc writes, filing papers, fetching stuff for the docs, running med recs and previous records for them, building admit charts and doing the admissions... sometimes coming right on top of each other or 5 minutes apart... The reason the first one quit is he went to a different hospital, is starting at almost twice as much an hour for monitor tech, AND had one sometimes TWO clerks on the desk with him. The last two times I worked I almost walked out for the same reason.... we get everything thrown at us all at ones. If the RN's orient new RN's they get paid more. We get... nothing. I clocked back in from lunch the other day 60 seconds late and they docked my check 15 minutes. Everyone is just getting sick and tired of getting dumped on.
