The problem is that Sean's mom will be joining us part of our days at WDW, and Universal, because she is planning on visiting Florida the same time as us. However she is adamant about driving herself there in her car, because she wants to have use of her car while she is in Florida. She has personal business to attend to at her late mother's house in Daytona Beach. I am afraid to let her make the trip alone. I would never survive in a car all those hours, even if we stayed the night in a hotel at the half way point. It is a 20 hour drive. My friend Annette was agreeable. However, how much money would we really save, if any. We'd not only have to drive down, but there is also the return trip. Swapping airline fare, for an additional 2 nghts in a hotel somewhere at the 1/2 way point.
I am not sure what to do at this point. I have been researching car rentals, to get the cheapest rates. Annette is coming over Tuesday to finalize our plans and make our plane reservations. We need to make the decision now about flying versus driving before the fares go up.
I need to sleep on this one.
