And I have survived yet another day. But at one point I was on the edge of a freak out and told the super that I was "this close" to wanting to walk out the door and quit... but then it settled down a little bit because some of the RNs saw how close I was to losing my grip on reality and they did some stuff for me.

And yet, I have told the director that I'm interesting in picking up extra hours with the clerk position when it open. Because at least if I'm the second person on the desk it hopefully won't be as bad as being he only person.

But I still feel like I've been "rode hard and put up wet" as they say.

We'll see how long I can stay upright....

Penguinsoda, you're not doing it right. Barbaraann could have broken that into at least 10 posts.

One day they were using the detention room for something else, so they sent me to the library instead. "Maybe you'll learn something there".

So I began to study chemistry. Mainly rapid chemical reactions, also known as explosions.

So one day I brought a lunchbox full of dry ice, and during lunch I made a test tube of nitroglycerine. When I was done, I took it out to the back parking lot, it is empty except for sporting events.

    BOOM!!!!!!

By this time, I had been busted for enough for various stuff by now that I knew to just blend in with the crowd."Wow!! What was that?"......

Just a test tube of it made a hole about 12" in diameter and about 4" deep.

After that I decided that I'd work with explosives only with someone who knew what he was doing......

And I did. When I lived I Bend Oregon, the rock on the surface likely goes all the way to China. I don't know how many thousands of holes I bored in it and shot it out with dynamite.

But this time I learned from guys who had been working with dynamite for years.
