one of them has to move at the last minute, so she said she has to pack all her stuff up, etc. which I think is understandable.

the other I was actually pretty annoyed that he cancelled because his reasoning was that the "activity" he had planned could actually just fit in next week's class & there would be no point in people coming to campus just for that one thing. so he basically just didn't have anything planned so he canceled class? yeah.

but I'll gladly take the thought of a long weekend as an opportunity to de-stress.

Its the resistant stuff that is most scary....

Yeah we've had a few RN's quit, and they've had to go over ratio a few times, and a bunch of times we've had to hold patients in ER because we haven't had staff to cover the admissions... until we get discharges then they flood us with the admits all at once...

Feast or famine... thats the medical field. No way to control the flow of humanity that comes in, esp. in the ER. They never know from one minute to the next what will walk through their doors, and unlike the floor that can say "we have no beds/staff..." ER can't do that.

Actually not as many as you would think. Many of them come from the same country or the same area but not to many on the exact same computer. Of course sometimes they use proxy servers with floating IP addys so... makes it harder but not impossible to track them down. Very seldom do they get "flagged" from the same computer.

Gosh, why can't anyone respect RSVP anymore. I need to give the bowling alley a head count for the boy's bowling party and I have heard not one response! Blegh.

Yes, the resistance is getting out of control. We are having to resort to riskier medications to combat these bugs. It's not good.

Feast or famine is probably the best description of hospital staffing. Well said.

Re: RCMC #129 - We are on a mission!

just submitted my FAFSA, since I need aid for this summer. thankfully I realized before the deadline in three days! now it's time to prepare for the interview!

I'm going through this thread I found filled with people posting the questions they were asked:
Any tricky CP interview questions? - The DIS Discussion Forums - DISboards.com

also I'm going to cut up some mozzarella and eat it.

and how are you, kelly? lol.

Re: RCMC #129 - We are on a mission!

Oh FAFSA. Just reading that made me shiver. I had zero loans prior to pharmacy school... now I pay more in student loans than I do for my mortgage. SO WRONG!

    Mozzarella sounds really yummy!

Thanks for asking! I'm currently chewing gum and waiting for our batch to print. I usually fill all the oral meds for the techs to give them a hand and since this is usually a slow time for orders I'm not really doing much else, anyway (obviously).

I'm considering drinking another Dr. Pepper since I'm getting pretty sleepy. Thoughts?

oh man, chewing gum and waiting? SOUNDS THRILLING! :P

I think you should put the dr. pepper away and have some water and an apple instead. :P

Re: RCMC #129 - We are on a mission!

The most exciting part is when I get a fresh piece of gum!!

I've actually had a lot of antibiotics to dose and just had the ER PA call with a decent question that took some research... thrilling for me but probably as interesting as chewing gum and waiting to others.

I have water, but alas - no apple.

Any interesting questions on that interview forum? Or is it the standard stuff?

Re: RCMC #129 - We are on a mission!

a lot of people are posting that they were asked "how often are you on the computer?" which I find both surprising and alarming, given what I would have to answer for that question. lol.
