I think because I am a loner, by nature, that I can always make my way through a crowd and find a good space. Sometimes it's as simple as looking up.
Before 2005, you could have DL all to yourself in the month of September.
This has been a Filmways presentation dahling.
I visited DL in 2006 at the very end of August. Missed being there on my birthday by a few days, if I am remembering correctly. However, we did a bit of birthday celebrating while I was there.

And also the main reason I go only once a year these days.
Big crowds should insure DL's longevity.
True, but if they get too reckless with APs and chase too many full-price tourists away, it might not bode well for them.......
They have chased me away from renewing my AP.
I know what you mean; I used to go 2 or 3 times a year. Because of the crowds, it's only once these days.
I used to go once a week, but now if it's crowded, I turn and go home.
My next trip is in May. I used an AP the last year, because it saved me money. Not sure about next year.
May could easily be a great time to go. Most kids are still in school, but the end of the schoolyear is coming up, so a lot of families are waiting for school to get out.
Plus, the weather in SoCal is usually good that time of year.
One of my most favorite trips to Disneyland occurred May of 2012. The weather was beautiful.

I wouldn't mind having California weather in my backyard all the time. The weather is a big factor, amongst many others why I prefer to vacation in California at Disneyland, rather that WDW in Florida.
Also, the "original" Disneyland is here and it will never be in Florida.
