A few years ago I got rear ended... just a fender bender at that time... and yeah, when I would be at a stop sign or light and come one would come up behind me I would tense up for a long time after. So I know its just going to take a while on that. But being in something comfortable will help.
Well I'm open to driving different things but hubby will not buy anything but "American" cars... even though now days there are no truly "American" made vehicles. Everything is put together somewhere else or at least part of it are. (And there was a time many many years ago that we only had VW's... Rabbits, Jetta.... )
I wouldn't mind having a "smallish" SUV but the insurance is another thing I have to consider. The bigger vehicles are more to insure. I don't want something to big... I live driving smaller vehicles... a mid size I could probably get use to. There was a nice Jeep Liberty that would of been comfy to get in and out of but they don't have a very good track record mechanical wise. Thats one thing about the Focus... In the almost 6 years I had it, it never left me stranded. Oh I had to replace the battery and have the brakes worked on but he never gave me any grief otherwise or had to spend any time in the shop. I did get $11,300 from the insurance for totaling my car. Thats a lot of money for an 8 year old car and a nice down payment.. I don't really need a brand new car, but I'd like to find something that maybe only has around 30,000 miles or less since mine only had 48,000 on it. MickeyMaxx said he and Rixter had gotten a couple of cars from Hertz... they sell low milage cars for less than Blue Book and have all the service records. Looked online at some of the stuff they had and they had quite a few 2012 and 2013's for sale for around $15,000-18,000. That wouldn't be to bad.
Well, tomorrow is another day and a new plan will hopefully hatch. For now I think I'll go try to get some sleep. I'm sure the Norco and Flexeril will help that. At least I only take them just before I go to bed since I haven't really felt a need to take them during the day.
Thanks for the support, help and advice Lori!!! I appreciate it! Golly I love my net buddies!!
