Alex traveling can cause a lot of stress, having family coming together can too. In any case the big problem is simply explained below.

I would say yeah, but this trip is not for another couple of weeks, it's a yearly trip, my siblings go and I stay home and watch the dogs. We don't have family staying coming together for the holidays, I still live with them, and we don't really do the holidays. It just seems like a trip is an excuse to yell and scream and be mean to the person not going on the trip. Then they come back and be like, "ah it was nice to relax and get away from the problems." Problem that they created and they expect us to fix.

I'm just tired. I have the health insurance thing to worry about. Plus they go on their trip the week before school starts and I need to find a way to pay for my books. Due to issues last semester, I don't have Financial Aid, I still have my classes paid, but I do not get checks. With this trip I may not have any money.

So anyway, how is everyone tonight?

    Doing alright.

Got home and had some soup for dinner. Chicken veggie that I made, and will have again since I made a bunch.

Alex, I'm sorry you have to go through this; this is not the way it's supposed to be.

I've never understood parents who treat their kids like dirt. All of my kids are grown and gone now, but they all know that if they ask me any type of question, they'll get a straight answer. And in the most tactful way possible.

I guess, being the positive person that I am, one good thing is you'll be able to handle the garbage that gets thrown at you when you get older. Believe me; there's a TON of it.

If nothing else, posting stuff here (where you are among friends who think highly of you) will cut back on some of the stress.

Wait...I got it!! Wanna move to northern Nevada??? I know this guy who now has several empty rooms in his house.......

    Lol.

Seriously, even though it's nearly impossible to see it now, sooner or later things will look up for you.

    Rob

Even though I'm not a very good cook, I always make enough stuff for several days. I can easily enjoy the same stuff several days in a row.

I went to the Pioneer Crossing tonight. It's a small casino with a pretty good restaurant inside. I had a BBQ hamburger. Theirs is a basic burger with some thin-sliced ham on top. It's really good.

I managed to play my way up to Level 105 in Candy Crush.

I think it's great that they limit the lives that they give you. It makes the game less stressful when you cut back the amount of time that you are actually playing. It's more about the luck than the skill, most of the time.

Re: RCMC #135 - Merry Christmas - Happy New Year

I have nothing but time, or maybe I should word that, my time is my own. In the course of a day, or a week, I seem to get almost everything done that needs doing. Being able to squeeze my many hobbies/pastimes into a day, makes my life less stressful.

I wish my mom had had more hobbies. Then perhaps she would not have turned to alcohol in her later years.

Sadly, I think a lot of people turn to alcohol or prescription drugs in their later years out of boredom.

It's sad, they have an incredible amount of knowledge and wisdom to share.

When people tell me they are bored, I cannot relate. I am much to busy to be bored.

Meat with more meat is a great treat.

I often make something for two or more meals. I usually eat it twice in a row, and if there is more skip a day or two before having it again. Sort of a mix of convenience and variety.

Plus I end up eating out at least once a week, with friend or for business.

My husband won't eat the same thing two days in a row. He takes food to work for lunch, so I have to make sure to alternate the choices. I cook in fairly small amounts. I guess I have gotten pretty good at cooking for two.

Although lately my grandson, and older son have been eating my cooking a lot as well.

Re: RCMC #135 - Merry Christmas - Happy New Year

It's been Wednesday night pizza for about 12 years now. It started when my daughter was on the swim team, I was on the board of directors, and my late wife was one of the coaches.

We would meet up at the local pizza place after practice, and these days it's usually just me, my daughter and some of her friends.

It's still a great tradition though.
