I am glad that my grandson is safely tucked away upstairs. He came in a short while ago looking for food.

Could not agree more!!! Good bye and good riddance 2013!!! Here's hoping 2014 is better!!!

Pretty darn exhausted. Fell asleep on the couch waiting for hubby to get off the computer. Will hang out while I can but if you don't see me until tomorrow you'll know I fell apart somewhere!

    Hey Swampy! Happy New year!
I totally understand Pengy! Been walking so much it feels like my legs have fallen off!

Talk about falling apart: my car did just that last week. Now on the bus, which is not a bad thing in that I walk, walk, walk and walk some more. But boy am I Sore!

Falling asleep at the keyboard too!

Pengy, I always forget when AZ is with Mountain Time or with Pacific. Are you going to make it to your New Years?

My grandson is not yet 21, and so far he does not drink or smoke.

Doubtful... but I'm in California... so even though its only... an hour away I seriously doubt I'll make it. Then again... you never know. Or the wall could hit at any time.

Looking up some recipes with black eyed peas. My Texas roots insist that I eat Black Eyed Peas on New Years Day for luck. Not that it worked very well last year. Did find a couple of soup recipies that sounded pretty good. But will have to go to the store tomorrow to get stuff.

Black eyed peas, bacon and andouille sausage. . . Mmmmmm. With corn bread.

Making me hungry Pengy. Might have to have a turkey, cream cheese and cranberry sauce sandwich. Or cereal.

Just thinking that I don't have any traditions for Christmas or New Year. Neither did my family growing up. Not until my parents divorced and mom decided to have special Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve dinners. I don't follow that route either. Interesting.

I usually do, but for some reason don't this year.

That sounds good too. This soup has cabbage and ham... usually I hate cooked cabbage... maybe I'll make some adjustments and use something else green.

That is interesting....black eyed peas are the only New Years tradition I remember.

Um... 20 more minutes... can I do it?
