This might sound like sour grapes, but I am glad that the ANniversary talk is almost non-existent this year, since I will not be attending. The funny thing is that I could probably get a flight, even at this late date.
I could also care less about the Super Bowl next week, since nobody is in it that I care about.
My next trip is in May, and I also decided to visit again in November the week before Thanksgiving. Hopefully, I can see some Christmas finery while I am there.
It does seem to be very low key this year. I think next year since it will be the 10th anniversary of MC (OMG!!) they may do some big stuff.
Then again I'm out of the loop so who knows.

the weather is nice today......
We do have a limited number of places to eat. And it seems like if a new one comes in it doesn't stay in business for long. The chain places do ok, but the mom & pop ones you never know. If they are good they can make it, but if the food is so so or the service sucks.. they won't be around long.

Wow you plan ahead!! I can't look much past Easter myself!
Well my front yard looks mostly presentable. Got the rose bushes pruned, did a bit of hula hoeing and raking... now I need to take some dynamite or a flame thrower to the back yard...
Spend the day out in shorts and a T shirt... after I got tired of raking (lower back giving out) I sat on the front porch at the table working on some crocheting until it got to cool.
I'd like to be closer to my kids... but darn it you can't beat the weather here with a stick!
Aye, penguinsoda, the weather out here is great. My brother lives in Iowa, and he keeps telling me how much cheaper it is to live there. My answer is, when they get a San Diego Comic Con and a Disneyland, lemme know, coz otherwise, my home is here in Los Angeles.
And I am feeling very lucky that I still have money in the bank, and that I have been told I can reapply for unemployment. The right job is out there and it will happen when it's supposed to. I keep looking, so hopefully I shall find it.
Yeah when I posted that pic on FB I wrote, "Sorry New York but.... "
I just need to hit the lottery so I could be a snowbird. Live near my kids in the summer and come back here in the winter!
I've always been a believer in "fate" if you will... and that what happens, happens because its suppose to. It might not be what we want but its what our life path is meant to be. So keep up that looking, and I'll keep good thoughts that you find something soon!
