Yup... Arizona is mostly a desert state too...

Yesterday I got a lot done... today... not so much... got the side yard cleared up but the rest of the back yard is such a mess I just came in and gave up... need to hire someone with a small bobcat to get back there and move some dirt that has eroded down the hill and moved back to where the fence between us and the neighbor is... darn dogs keep digging it too....

    Hello everyone.

I had a great time at Alta. Nice and sunny. Wish there was more snow and it sounds like we were on the odd weekend out for fresh snow. But we had a good time and traveling was pretty smooth.

We are talking about using our two days in Jackson Hole in 3 or 4 weeks. Still hoping Mammoth or Tahoe gets some snow.

I don't use them. Some people I've spoke to don't find them effective, or that the effect wears out after use. But some people do get addicted.

Yard does look good. Good luck in the back.

I need more than luck. I need a blow torch. If I had known what a royal pain and mess the athel trees are I would of yanked them out by the roots when we first moved in and they were just little things.

Hey relax. First day shouldn't be too tough, mostly filling out paperwork and getting a tour. Right?

I've been there before and if things work out excited to go again. I had been to Alta before too and it had upgraded some lifts so was a little different.

Hmm, I guess when you are in the desert you don't have a lot of choice as to what goes in your yard.

Whoooo! Sending some good thoughts! Doing something new and different can be scary! But you'll do great and before you know it, you'll be relaxed and comfortable in the new position!

Many things can grow in the desert... its just a matter of having enough water for them. But a lot of things can't take the heat in the summer so yes, plants are tricky. Which is why there are probably so many athel trees around.... they require no watering, grow like weeds and you can't kill them. I know... we tried. Hubby and a friend took a chain saw to them a few years ago and now the stupid things are probably 40 feet tall and growing over the back of the house.

Well just had a weird and freaky experience... random phone call on my cell... looking for someone with the same first name... argued with the guy about who I was... told him there was no one here with the last name he was looking for (but the same first name as mine). Hung up on him... a few seconds later calls on my land line... DUDE!! I told you there was no one here by that name! But now wish I had asked him how he got the numbers because our land line is unlisted. Randomly accidently getting my cell is one thing... but having my cell and land line??

I was already in an unsettled mood today anyway....

So guess I should head to bed and get ready to start another week! Nanners all!

Ended up not going to bed till after 11.... was awake off and on all night, couldn't get comfortable.. couldn't shut brain off... not often random stresses keep me awake but last night was one of them. Thinking at some point today a nap may be in order.

My printer is so temperamental. I hate wasting ink, considering how much they charge for it. I just printed out a few photos, so I can do a few more scrapbook pages today.

The weather is below zero again here in Chicago. I am a lucky woman, in that I get to stay home. I don't have to venture out anywhere today.

I think I will make my Chicken Stew today, and cook my husband some Bean Soup.

    Happy Monday everyone.
