New GAME: Change One Word in These Lyrics

    Hey all,

I don't know if this will work or not, but I came up with a game. (This is a trial version, I guess)

    Here's what to do:

I've posted the lyrics to a song. The next poster will copy and paste the song exactly, but must change one word in the song. BOLD the word that you change. Using these new lyrics, with the altered word, the next person will change one more word, and so on... You can change any word you choose, including the one that the poster changed before you. By the time all the words have been changed, we'll see what new lyrics we end up with. It's sort of a variation/take off of the old game, Telephone.

    Ready? Let's try it!

    WINDMILLS OF YOUR MIND

Round like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning on an ever-spinning reel,
Like a snowball down a mountain or a carnival balloon,
Like a carousel that's turning running rings around the moon,
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face,
And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space.
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind.

Like a tunnel that you follow to a tunnel of its own
Down a hollow to a cavern where the sun has never shone
Like a door that keeps revolving in a half-forgotten dream
Or the ripples from a pebble someone tosses in a stream
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face
And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Keys that jingle in your pocket
Words that jangle in your head
Why did summer go so quickly?
Was it something that you said?
    Lovers walk along a shore
And leave their footprints in the sand
Is the sound of distant drumming
Just the fingers of your hand?

    Pictures hanging in a hallway
And the fragment of a song
    Half-remembered names and faces
But to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over
    You were suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning
To the color of her hair.

Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
    Never ending or beginning
    On an ever-spinning reel
    As the images unwind
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind

Uhm... I don't think someboy copied it right, so I'm fixing it up:

Round like a circle in a spiral, like a hamster within a wheel
Never ending or beginning on an ever-spinning reel,
Like a snowball down a mountain or a carnival buffoon,
Like a carousel that's turning running rings around the moon,

Never ending or beginning on an ever-spinning reel,
Like a snowball down a mountain or a carnival buffoon,
Like a carousel that's turning running rings around the moon,
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face,
And the world is like an monkey whirling silently in space.
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind.

Like a tunnel that you follow to a tunnel of its own
Down a toilet to a cavern where the sun has never shone
Like a door that keeps revolving in a half-forgotten dream
Or the nipples from a pebble someone tosses in a stream
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face
And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the neurons of your mind
Keys that jingle in your pocket
Words that jangle in your head
Why did summer go so quickly?
Was it something that you said?
    Lovers walk along a shore
And leave their footprints in the sand
Is the sound of distant drumming
Just the fingers of your hand?

    Criminals hanging in a jailhouse
And the fragment of a beer glass
    Half-remembered names and faces
But to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over
    You were suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning
To the color of her hair.

Like a circle in a square
Like a wheel within a wheel
    Never ending or beginning
    On an ever-spinning seal
    As the images unwind
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind

Re: New GAME: Change One Word in These Lyrics

Square like a circle in a spiral, like a hamster within a wheel
Never ending or beginning on an ever-spinning reel,
Like a snowball down a mountain or a carnival buffoon,
Like a carousel that's turning running rings around the moon,
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face,
And the world is like an monkey whirling silently in space.
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind.

Like a tunnel that you follow to a tunnel of its own
Down a toilet to a cavern where the sun has never shone
Like a door that keeps shrinking in a half-forgotten dream
Or the nipples from a pebble someone tosses in a stream
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face
And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
