"Raising the post count" strictly for the SOLE purpose of gaining blingage is not what most of us are after. I think most of us are here to hang out with each other and share in each other's...unique....randomness.
I can tell, for instance, that Barbarann isn't JUST out for blingage because she is always starting threads on a variety of subjects as well as joining in several online conversations each day. I'm just thinking that when people see "raise your post count" in a title, they will perceive the users of that thread to be individuals who are in Micechat simply to boost their numbers and get diamonds. And I know that is simply not the case. While most of us who have more than one diamond have worked like maniacs at times to get that thread count up there, that has not been the sum total of why we are posting. Splash is bumming because the Flames lost. (Sorry Spash... ), Penguin just finished off Mac...Tui still wants to have Mac for dinner, Hilsbro has some sort of shagging going on in the Haunted House, which may be with a person named Andy , RW is thinking of something dirty to say, RB used to work at the DLR and is a fellow Angels fan, DG thinks Evan is gay, Speedway lives across the pond and has absolutely nothing to do on Sunday afternoons, KC still plans to marry Orlando, and so on..... I think we all know something about each other from haning out in Mice chat.
Anyway...those are just some of my RANDOM thoughts. We don't really have to name our threads "Your thoughts on the use of Iambic Pentameter in 17th century British Literature." They could be any....random sort of thing. "Why I think LDF is a freakin Looney" might work. I just think maybe the "raise your post count" wording could be retired at some point in the near future.
I am now off to hide my glee from Splash.
Er...I mean....I'm REALLY REALLY sorry about your Flames, Splash.
