    Riddles for the Brain...

Please do not goggle search the answer to cheat because I really want you guys to try and figure out the questions on your own.....Perhaps post some of your own riddles too!

    "It's more powerful than God.
It's more evil than the devil.
    The poor have it.
    The rich need it.
If you eat it, you'll die.
    What am I?"

    The answer is NOTHING.

Nothing is more powerful than God
Nothing is more evil than the devil
    The poor have nothing
    The rich need nothing
If you eat nothing, you'll die.

Okay here is the next riddle I found:

I am a three digit number.
My tens digit is five more than my ones digit.
My hundreds digit is eight less than my tens digit.
    What number am I?

Round and round the rugged rock,
    The ragged rascal ran.
How many "R"'s are in that?

    Dang you are good Hyperbole

For your answer, I'd say 8.

Round and round the rugged rock,
    The ragged rascal ran.
How many "R"'s are in that?
Tell me quickly if you can.

    Here is a logic riddle:

    A woman shoots her husband.
Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes.
    Finally, she hangs him.
But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together.
    How can this be?

    Re: Riddles for the Brain...

A man must make a statement. If what he says is true, he will be hanged. If what he says is false, he will be shot.
    What should he say?

    Re: Riddles for the Brain...

Screw the last question I asked, this is waht I meant to ask:

"General Gasslefield, accused of high treason, is sentenced to death by the court-martial. He is allowed to make a final statement, after which he will be shot if the statement is false or will be hung if the statement is true. Gasslefield makes his final statement and is released.

The Question : What could he have said?"

    Re: Riddles for the Brain...

I think I heard this one before. Is it something like "I will be shot"?

    Re: Riddles for the Brain...

Yes for the first riddle the answer is that he will be shot.

The answer for the second one is

General Gasslefield said: "I will be shot." If this statement was true, he would have been hung and thus not be shot. But then his statement would be false, which implies that he should be shot, making the statement true again, etc... In other words: the verdict of the court-martial could not be executed and the general was released.
