I remember...many many years ago before I started working with them, I was visiting a school where my best friend was working... she was in a computer lab at the time, and she was taking it apart and messing with the insides. I freaked!!! I would of been scared to death take one apart! I could not imagine doing that.
A couple of years later I was doing the same thing.
Gotta be careful refinancing.. sometimes its a good idea, but not always. But as long as the property is going up in value thats good. Right now out here real estate has flattened out. There is a brand new 4 bedroom right across from us. At first they were asking about $380,000 for it, the last price I saw was $299,000 and it finally sold. Don't know what they actually got for it however.
I have had my house for 20 years and it has quadrupled in value. However, I owe more now than I ever did. ALways borrow on the equity, when we really have to. Life has gotten in the way. My house will probably never get paid for. However some day it will be Sean's.
I'm very very VERY lucky. My house is paid for. We paid off the mortgage a few years ago. We were able to get in at the right time. We bought it in 83/84 I think it was and only paid $62,000 for it then.
