I'm a sucker for a good game of Mad Libs, so I thought, why not make some up about the (insert adjective ending in -est) place on earth?
Hopefully we can have several funny rounds with this game if enough MiceChatters participate.
Let's take a moment now to review how to play Mad Libs.
Here's how the game works.
I'm going to ask MiceChatters like you for a chronological list of different kinds of words - things like adjectives, nouns, verbs, adverbs, and names of people, places, or things. You will post your choices for the words in each round, but I may or may not use your particular words in the story.
Then once I get about a dozen replies, I'll post the story, inserted with the words you chose, mixed and matched from the lists submitted that I think are the most hilarious.
Only the funniest responses will end up in the story, so this could be a competitive game. Remember, the more off-the-wall, the better. Think outside the box. Sometimes it's the words that have the least to do with the park that are the funniest!
In case you've forgotten what adjectives, adverbs, nouns, and verbs are, here is a quick review:
An ADJECTIVE describes something or somebody. Lumpy, soft, ugly, messy, and short are adjectives.
An ADVERB tells how something is done. It modifies a verb and usually ends in "ly". Modestly, stupidly, greedily, and carefully are adverbs.
A NOUN is the name of a person, place or thing. Sidewalk, umbrella, bridle, bathtub, and nose are nouns.
A VERB is an action word. Run, pitch, jump, and swim are verbs.
If I ask for a GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION, I mean any sort of place: a country or a city (Spain, Cleveland) or a room (bathroom, kitchen).
An INTERJECTION is any sort of word you would say out loud to express an emotion. Wow! Ouch! Whomp! Ick! Gadzooks! are interjections.
If I ask for a specific word like A NUMBER, A COLOR, AN ANIMAL, or A PART OF THE BODY, I mean a word that is one of those things.
When a PLURAL is asked for, be sure to pluralize the word. For example, cat pluralized is cats.
If someone would like to come up with their own Disneyland-themed Mad Libs in this thread, they are welcome to do so once a round is completed. Just ask!
