End of Summer Pin Trading Bash - A tragedy in three acts

ACT I -
After clicking forever, I got into the queue and waited. Finally I'm in the room and Phinnie is wearing the Inner Space Ride Attraction pin I've been trying so hard to get! (It's been renamed the ATIS Ride Through, but you can't type ATIS in VMK) I went through the line and got up to Phinnie. She opened a trading box and just as I was typing the name of the pin I wanted, I went dc.

ACT II -
Logged back on. Clicked and clicked and clicked. Finally, back in the queue a second time. When I got in the room, Phinnie was dc. We waited and watched about 4 players go dc while waiting for Fin to get back. When she returns, there's only one player ahead of me to trade. Fin's still wearing the pin I want! Then I went dc again.

ACT III -
Clickety, clickety, clickety click. In the queue for a third time. This is last chance since the room will be closing soon. The queue is moving fairly fast. Probably because everyone ahead of me is going dc. Finally, there's no one ahead of me and I'm first in the queue. I'm waiting... and went dc.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME TOO, but i didn't try for a third time tho.

~First Attempt~
After clicking for a thousand times I finally get into room, then head off to read some more of my book. Then I get in the room I'm the next person up then I get DC.

~Second Attempt~
I finally get in again, and once more go read my book until i get in. Finally get in when I'm up in line waiting for trade request when i noticed it not coming up so suddenly a window popped up and of course it is the DC WINDOW!

~Third Attempt~
WAIT UNTIL LATER! I CANT TAKE IT LOL

I am so sorry Tom. I weep for you. That is so fustrating. But there is still hope. The pin trading continues through the night. Good luck.

If I had that pin I would be happy to trade it to you, but I missed out on it too.

I get DC'd from almost every host game I've played. My sympathies.

A small bright spot. I did manange to get into Hula's (or was it Lily?) room and get a Jungle Cruise Zebra pin!!!

There's another pin trading bash coming soon. I'll try again. I have my fingers crossed.

How do you have the patience to keep trying to get into a host's room? I don't have all day to sit on the computer, and those darn events happen at the most inconvenient times!

I am tired of all the DCing going on as well. It's great free advertising for the Disney company - why can't they spring for a better server?

ENCORE:

Host Lily opened another End Of Summer Pin Trading Bash this morning. I did the "search" thing and started clicking early. When the room appeared, I was 12th in the queue. That's a good chance to actually make a trade before dc. It wasn't long before I was first in the queue, then nothing happened for a looooooooooong time. I hate that. You don't know if it's just taking awhile or if you're dc. I decided I had nothing to lose so waited. Finally after about five minutes, I got into the room. Lily is wearing the ATIS Ride Through pin!!!

I GOT IT!

Good work, TC!!!

I got dc at 14th in the queue. Now I am 49th. Probability of disconnect: too high for our measuring devices, folks!!!

Edit: I made it into the room. I was next in line for trading, and whaddya know? DISCONNECTED!!!

Here's a tip, don't write anything while in the room. I think it might overload the server.
