One of the reasons I posted was because every time I go to a trading room, I'm worried that the offers I get are bad offers. I've had a VMK account for almost a year, but didn't play much until last month. I haven't done enough of this to know if I'm getted ripped off or not. If I'm trading junky stuff for junky stuff, I don't care, but these Stitch prizes are my best and maybe only chance to get the goods that I missed out on. I'm worried, too, that my expectations were maybe a little higher than I should have expected. I thought I might get offers with the dancing inferno magic, or the Captain Jack Sparrow outfits, or the rare Ariel treasure chest, because it seems like every time I go on with the Stitch pin or hat on, everybody in the room wants to trade for it, and I had some people in the game tell me that the Stitch hat was the most rare thing except for green flip flops and red beta haunted mansion chairs and tables.

I think what I'm going to do is go on this weekend and test the waters in trading rooms. Unlike some of the enthusiastic players here, I only get a chance to go online late at night and on weekends. During the week, I usually don't get to play on the computer until VMK is closed. I don't want to rush this deal.

Keep in mind you can always ask us here, there are many of us who have been around for a long time and can usually tell you the rareness of an item.

Please don't take this in the wrong way at all. I would also like to welcoem you to MiceChat. As a member andVMK player you will see and learn that "bad trades" often happen around codes. Also, members of the past have started threads trading codes for items like the one you are trading. I'm sure you'll be able to get a lot of great things that you're looking for in return for your items.

Also, since VMK has a 15 item limit, be sure to get someone to facilitate the trade - the a community leader. Or, if possible I would help you out as well.

That is something I really want. I will trade a set of each Stitch prize for an inferno pin. When can we meet in the game? Send me a PM and let me know. I am shrimpboatcaptain on VMK.

I think I might have another trade lined up for the second set, too. That would leave me with just one set left to trade.

How I got three sets was booking two weekends, two rooms, separately booked, for the family. That gave us four sets. One set I can't trade. Three are for trade.

It's not you, Siskey. I know it's not everyone's fault, but I just had a really bad experience trying to trade the first set.

Then there was another offer I was thinking about taking, but I saw in feedback forum about another thread saying that he made a trade to another Stitch trader and got a bogus code and lost his stuff. Great.

None of this happens in a trade room. You just put yours in a window, and they put theirs in a window. If it works, you mark the box. If it doesn't you're on to the next deal. Nobody steals your stuff for a bad code or makes you sit in a room by yourself for an hour that way. I'm starting to know my way around those trade rooms, now, too.

Between that and trying to sort out all these offers that are for piles and piles of stuff and trying to compare one to another, I don't know. Maybe tomorrow when I'm not so mad about this first deal blowing up, I'll feel better and try to work this out with someone. Right now, I've about had it.

Sorry to hear you are having such a bad time. I can understand especially with limited time, how frustrating it is to be left waiting for somebody. I trade a lot on other boards (Dis and VMK fan site), and it has happened to me more times than I can count.

Just remember, you're in charge, and there's really no rush

It is a problem to have such long offers that make your head ache after a while LOL, trying to decide which one you like more, but since these items are equivalent to inferno in virtual value, it's just part of the process.

Sounds like someone playing detective. Some of the players do that. They think they are performing a service to the rest of us. I'm sure most of the people who made offers were actually trying to arrange a real trade. The dc thing sounds suspicious. The dc monster is fixed. If it was just an innocent dc, even if he couldn't get back on VMK because of computer problems, he should have answered your pms, especially if he was on here making posts. I would be trying very hard to communicate to the person if I had dc'd like that in the middle of a significant trade that I wanted to make.

Yikes! Just saw what you were talking about, where somebody on here got scammed with a bad Stitch code.

I didn't make an offer to that person myself, because the whole "code" thing sounded fishy. I feel really bad for the Micechatter who got taken

On a sidenote, the feedback rating system you have here is terrific. Gives you something to go by, at least...
