Pirates of the Caribbean Tourney Date- Please Read- Poll added on date

You all know about the POTC tourney that I am hosting, correct? Well if you don't, the threads somewhere in the General VMK Discussion Forum.

Anyway, I would like to hold this tournament on a weekend.. fairly soon.
As it is Christmas time, weekends are hard for lots of people (including me). Also, many are on vacation. So, I was thinking to hold this tourney sometime during January. Does this seem too late? Please post.

Please vote in the poll and select which January weekend would be best for you.

I would be very grateful, as this is not very well organized, if someone would like to help me organize this better.

Friend, I can help; I LOVE organization, so it should be fun. I believe to add a poll, after you have posted, you just have to edit, pull down "thread tools" list, and add a poll. However, I may be wrong.

I added the poll. You can start a new thread with the poll and then a mod can merge them, which is what I did.

The first weekend I'll be with yoyo and most of the second, the third I will be getting ready for school and probably working along with the forth. So I'm not quite sure. I might depend upon my work schedule in the end.

Let's start with a checklist:

-Date. That is coming, so check. Checked off.

-Time. We need to list the times (beginning-ending) in different time zones.

-Partners. When would you like to close the sign-up and poll?

-Levels. Checked off.

-Meet. Should we all meet, become friends, and go to the same lobby? We can even just say which lobby and all meet.

-The ending of tourney. Shall we all meet at the end of each day, in a room on VMK, and have a board for the scores and pictures as proof?

This was all I could think of.

Yep, because as much as I love level three, I know that there are some members on here who may be new to VMK, new to POTC, or just don't play it much.

This was all I could think of.

It's difficult to plan things like this is advance. Tell you what. I think we should close the both polls this saturday and the sign-up next Saturday. Then we can probably get everything organized, make brackets and set up game times.

I think it would be hard for all of us to become each other's friends as a lot of our friend lists are beyond full. I don't think all the games will be at the same time in the brackets, although probably in the same day, as POTC games usually take up to five minutes. Probably what we'll do is schedule certain lobbies to certain games. Get what I mean?

Like we'll say:

Of course, it'll be made on some other program and won't look crummy.


I think it would be hard to meet each day, and we couldn't really share our pictures/scores on VMK w/o getting banned, so I think they could just PM their pics to me right after they play.
Anyway, I could probably update the bracket quickly, then everyone would know how to do it.

This seems really hastily done and I'm sorry everyone, I didn't think about so many possible things.


Another thing we have to think about is prizes, as some people may not want to play w/o a prize.
Maybe 1st-3rd place team (depends on how many people we get) could get a prize, like 1st Place could get A,B, and C, 2nd Place could get B and C, and Third could get C. So.. we need an idea for prizes as well.

As far as I know, I don't think anything after the 13th is avalible at certain times. My team is doing an indoor soccer tournament which will be after, and the next session isn't until January 13th. I'll get you updated when I know more, and then vote
