Barbossa, I actually do have the TOD figures as I bought them off someone else on another board. However, I would love to have more of the Thugee guards.

Re: Toy Collecting Chit-Chat thread.

If that's Animated Wreck Gar, it was on sale on Hasbrotoyshop.com for a week or two. Unfortunately they're sold out now.

Re: Toy Collecting Chit-Chat thread.

Does anyone happen to know if Burger King or anyone of the fast food joints are going to be selling toys based on any of the summer movies this year? I'm sure they will, but what will it be? Last year Burger King had Iron Man, Indiana Jones, and Hulk (Which I got some toys from each set [2 sets of Indy]), and McDonald's had Kung Fu Panda. So, will any restaurants be offering anything? Star Trek? Wolverine? Transformers? Up? Ice Age 3? Harry Potter? GI Joe? Public Enemies? Angels & Demons?

I could see McDonald's getting something for Ice Age 3 and Up.

Re: Toy Collecting Chit-Chat thread.

If any of you have ordered through Corner Stone Comics lately, you may want to check your credit card balances as their servers got hacked pretty badly and a lot of my fellow posters on Action Figure Insider got hit with fraudulent charges.

Barbossa, strangely I've not heard anything about upcoming fast food promo toys but if/when I do, I'll post something about it. As BK had Transformers toys for the first film, I'd imagine that they might have some again.

I too was thinking that BK will probably have Transformers. They'll also probably have the other Hasbro movie toys, GI Joe: Rise of Cobra.

Quite right. TWO of my credit cards got hacked. I started getting random crap delivered to my door. Really frustrating. I emailed the owner of the shop and he hasn't replied. They really do owe us a little something for that mistake.

I'm sorry to hear that, Coheteboy. Unfortunately, it looks pretty wide spread among the superhero figure collector community and Corner Stone isn't taking action in a timely manner as far as alerting customers who have ordered from them recently. What if I weren't on AFI or Fwoosh? I'd have no way of knowing why the fraudulent charges came about.

While I wasn't affected by this, my credit cards got hacked twice when I was still in college and it's quite a hassle to clear up the charges as there are a few forms that you have to get notarized and then sent back to your credit card company. I just hope they nail those fruit tarts that perpetrated this.

In the meantime, it looks as if DCUC Flash and Hawkman will be the only things I ever buy from them.

Re: Toy Collecting Chit-Chat thread.

Oddly enough I didn't really have to do that much as both credit card companies called me the day the charges started happening asking me if I know about those charges. They could tell somehow that they were fraudulent. Good job Mastercard and Discover!

Since Mcdonald's and Disney's partnership is over, I doubt they will carry Up toys, especially since Disney doesn't want to associate with "unhealthy foods" any more.

Dunno about a fast-food tie-in for Star Trek, but Eggo/Kellogs is offering a mail-in offer for a rather cool-looking plate:

Re: Toy Collecting Chit-Chat thread.

Did anyone else try to book a hotel for Comic Con this morning?

I realize that's not toy related per se but for me, the SDCC is always a toy focused event and I figure that there will likely be some of us from here *ahemCoheteboy* that would attend.

I'll be there for 2 days as that's about all I can take.

Re: Toy Collecting Chit-Chat thread.

Hmm... i need to talk to my peeps. they were in charge of hotels. Since I started going to comic-con, i never ever booked a hotel and I've always somehow managed to get a room that someone else couldn't fill up completely or someone got an extra.
