I think I Heart Disneyland had a great idea when she started the pin chit-chat thread so that we could keep the recent acquistion thread on topic. So this is the new Toy Chit chat thread. Here is the place to show pictures of your collection or news about new toys or whatever.

Here is something I saw today. Mattycollector.com has the DC Universe Adam Strange/Starfire exclusive 2 pack for sale NOW. Here is a link.

Apparently they also have figure stands for the figures if you need/want them.

I want them... but have no idea who they are! So until then, my credit card remains in my wallet.

I have a hard time saying "NO" to toys that just look cool. I'm trying to do just that.

I hope I can be second! In fact I'm geeking out because tonight's Smallville ep has Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl. Especially Saturn Girl

Anyhow back to toys, Skeletor is also up for sale on mattycollector.com. I ordered one along with a box of JLU stands. I would've bought Adam Strange and Starfire except that I really only want Starfire but even then it's no big loss to not have her.

Mattel leaked out that they're working on a newer female body for DCUC which many of us believe will lead to a Power Girl!

Also, Hasbrotoyshop has the first wave of the Marvel Universe 3.75" line up for preorder. Even a DC fan like myself is excited for this line and will get some of the key characters as well as extras for customs. In fact, I'm going to use them for DC customs since the Infinite Heroes line isn't to my liking at all.

OOOOO Power Girl. She is one of my favorite characters. I would consider buying a cool figure of her.

Yah, I would want that 2pack for Starfire. And I kinda like the design of Adam Strange, but for $25, it's a hard sell.

Actually I think that is a pretty fair price for 2 figures of that size. At walmart the DC Universe figures are nearly 12 a piece.Still if you only want the one, that makes a hugh difference.

Oh i mean when you throw on shipping too. Hehehe...that's like $15 per figure which I guess still isn't THAT bad. But remember when DC Universe first started? it was only $9.99! And that was only last year.

The DC Universe 2packs at TRU are $22.99 which is $2 cheaper, but you have to keep in mind that ther'es no build-a-figure piece with them either. Just two plain figures. I suppose at the very least, adam strange and starfire are 100% NEW characters, so that's good.


I got the Green Lantern 2pack through a trade... but I already have Green Lantern! I just wanted the other guy.

Coheteboy, I just want to warn you and others that shipping on Mattycollector.com is really expensive and makes HTS's shipping seem like a bargain.

For Skeletor and a box of JLU stands, $8 something was the cheapest option. So that 2 pack jumps up to around $36 if not more!

I've not been able to find those TRU DCUC 2 packs btw, well except for Lightray/Orion which I don't want. While I'd like to have Batgirl and Abin Sur, they're not a high priority for me and I'm trying to cut down this year anyhow.

On a side note, I hope this thread doesn't turn into just the 3 of us chatting away!

Thanks for the warning, Brand... I think I need to find a fellow mattycollector to save on shipping. What I did was order two Adam Strange / Starfire 2packs. Shipping was identical to ordering one, which is about $8.55. If i ordered three, shiping would have been $11 and change.

No way am I gonna get on the masters of the universe line again. They look fantastic but at $20 a figure, that's way too much. Especially after I invested so much in the previous line only for them to kill it prematurely.

And i got a batgirl/azrael through a trade as well. Got rid of some old Lord of the Rings figures for it.

Hehe yah well... it used to be cool when it was collectstarwars.com. That whole takeover by Phillip Wise was just... not handled very well.
