![]() | Could use some help with a shadowbox repair So I'm kinda bummed right at the moment. I got home today and found that the last letter in my Tiki Room shadowbox has come loose. I've had the thing since it was released, so there is no way I can just swap it with Disney, but I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on how I can fix it. The rest of it looks fine and I'm not even sure why it came loose.

![]() | Re: Could use some help with a shadowbox repair I am looking at my Tink and d'land ones and they have glass fronts so I am not sure how to get into it. I believe that Dave Avanzino has a blog or website I would try that to see if you can get his advice and solution. |

![]() | Re: Could use some help with a shadowbox repair I'll see if I can get a picture of it. Basically, it's just the last letter of the word, but since it's behind the glass plate I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to get at it. I might have to see if a professional framer can help me. Great suggestions so far though, and I really appreciate them.

![]() | Re: Could use some help with a shadowbox repair HI JSmith, If you go up to the SEARCH bar and type "Avanzino, heat gun" you will find the link to a description of how to best get into these boxes. They are fixable. I suggest using clear adhesive caulk to glue it back on. The new boxes are constructed so that the back can be taken off easily for repairs. You have the older ones which are more difficult. Let me know if I can be of any more help. Dave Avanzino |

![]() | Re: Could use some help with a shadowbox repair Thanks so much for the help, Dave. I followed your instructions and managed to get everything back where it needed to go. Now, I can quit OCD'ing over an off-kilter letter. ![]() By the way, I can't wait for your next release. Love your work.

![]() | Re: Could use some help with a shadowbox repair So glad it worked out. The new pieces are made so that the back comes off so that making repairs will be MUCH easier. I know that people would much rather fix it themselves than ship it back. Thanks for letting me know if worked. Dave |
