Yeah that's the brush I mentioned in my post. Shoot, ANY brush Bare Escentuals makes is a winner in my book. Their brushes are simply the BEST. I use my BE shadow brush with my Smashbox & Too Faced shadows as well as my Bare Minerals shadows/glimmers/glimpses.

ZOMG I am such a makeup whore.

Re: Mascara Recs and Application Options

I used all my BE brushes with all my other shadows too, except for the Benefit cream ones. The wet/dry brush works really well with Urban Decay shadows.

I've tried the Sephora brand brushes and they just don't compare.

I never wear mascara...my skin so oily that even with the waterproof stuff, I get raccoon eyes. I do wear eyeshadow and have several brushes. Love the brushes.

I'm hard on mascara too. When I get tired I tend to rub my eyes so at the end of the day I get a "smoky" eye just because I rub.

NNL- any BE brush is awesome. I used one of their double ended brushes for almost all eyeshadow application because it just feels good against the skin.

Re: Mascara Recs and Application Options

BE brushes really are the best! About half of my brushes are BE, then Merle Norman (from a set I got in high school...at least 8 years ago...that's still going strong), and a random set from Christmas and a Sephora/Target brand here and there.

Re: Mascara Recs and Application Options

So... i realized that somewhere along the line I acquired a brush set, so I dug it out and there's 2 eyeshadow brushes in it I had been using them for blush. I'm sure they're a cruddy kind, but I'll try them first. Ugh, I am so full of girlie fail!!

My eyes are my best feature and I have great lashes (if i do say so myself ) so after lip gloss, mascara is my go to! But the one I was using (from Avon... I really liked it!) was accdently left unopened so it kinda toast right now.

Here's another question... What's the best way to take makeup off? I always seem to get some in my eyes.

I'll have to try the sephora brand. Does it stay on really well? Not that I do this often, but I can cry with the bad girl non waterproof mascara and it stays on without raccoon eyes.

It stayed on for me yesterday even after bawling my way through Marley & Me. Pretty good test

NNL, I use facial wipes to remove my makeup. Except when I use Urban Decay liner, then I also use Urban Decay eye makeup remover. But, the facial wipes work good for basic makeup. I use the Dove ones.

It stays on through all my freak-outs, cry-fests, and bitch fits.

Re: Mascara Recs and Application Options

NNL, I've got the Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser that's a makeup remover and cleanser in one that I really like a lot. If eye makeup's being stubborn, then the Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover works too.

Have fun with those brushes!!

And I think I'm going to have to try this Sephora brand of mascara too...hmm...

I use Philosophy Purity for all of my face cleansing needs. It works great just on a Q-tip for correcting smudges too. It doesn't take very much, and the bottle lasts for a long time.

I dislike the spongy eye shadow brushes greatly, I just got back from WalGreens today and I bought a set of 4 brushes. They are called ecotools and run about 11 dollars. They are extremely soft and made out of natural bamboo, recycled aluminum and synthetic hairs. Another eye brush I like is Avon's dual-ended liner/shadow brush. It applies shadows evenly and is very inexpensive. I prefer it over the sephora brushes.

Also, I just bought CoverGirl's Marathon Mascara which I LOVE. It's great and doesn't budge.

I find the best way to get off makeup is using Avon's makeup remover, it's creamy. But I also like Philosophy's one-step facial cleanser to remove makeup.

As for blue mascara at Sephora: http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...categoryId=B70

Re: Mascara Recs and Application Options

Has anyone used the big tease mascara from Bare Escentuals?
Because of the other post I'm thinking of getting this: Sephora: Bare Escentuals Buxom Betty Collection ($71 Value): Combination Sets and wondering if that mascara would do for now.
