Ok, what about primer?

One more question... What is your favorite primer?

I've only used the bare minerals one... that is ok.
I know the Smashbox photofinish was a favorite... that is the one I am currently using and I HATE it. It feels slimy? in my hands and when it goes on... it's nothing. I never feel like it's covering my face because it diappears so quickly.

Does anyone use a different one?
One by Korres has gotten really good reviews on Sephora.

Re: Ok, what about primer?

I'm a huge fan of the Smashbox one. I tried the Makeup Forever one and didn't care for it. I felt like it was too heavy.

Primer? They call it primer?

You guys don't have to take that, you know.

Sorry, I'll leave now.

Re: Ok, what about primer?

IF I wore makeup, I would first need spackle, then primer, then whatever comes next.

Oh, and a putty knife to spread it all.

Re: Ok, what about primer?

yeah, primer goes under my paint, not on my face! haha.

I always kind of feel like the products that you wear under the makeup are a waste. i just use some moisturizer, and then try to find a product that i like to use all on it's own! liquid foundation and powder stays on just fine for me under normal circumstances.

Re: Ok, what about primer?

Well, I have oily skin so I fear that the bare minerals will just melt into my face if I don't put a little layer between it and my skin lol

P.S. MABM... that DOES sound scary!

Laura Gellar right? Apparently that has a huge following, which is scary considering the name.

I like Smashbox.

I hated the Smashbox phot finish original formula, but I tried the oil free version (same packaging, but the product is white rather than clear). It works so well! No slimy feel at all - it goes on like a lotion almost, but it doesn't feel greasy or oily or ucky in the slightest. I don't use face makeup much at all, but when I do, this is always what goes on first. BONUS: I got the teeny tiny size they sell at Sephora maybe 3 months ago, and I still have over half of it left. A little bit goes a long way.

Re: Ok, what about primer?

I used to use Smashbox Photofinish but on a whim I tried the Bare Escentuals (sp?) brand and liked it just as much plus it ws cheaper!

Re: Ok, what about primer?

I am a Smashbox fan too, but you might want to try Philosophy's The Present Clear Makeup. I used that as well, and it is also like a lightweight moisturizer.

Re: Ok, what about primer?

I need to get more of the Smashbox light. I have the oily T zone from hell and this helps fight it.
