I have big boxes in one of my closets with each family members names that I sock away christmas and birthday stuff in all year round. My boyfriend, on the other hand, would be happy to do every thing the two days before Christmas? What about all of ya'll, how do you do it?
I usually have all of my holiday shopping done by Halloween. Not this year though. Starting a new job and moving put a crimp in my budget, so I'll have to wait until November to start shopping! YIKES!!!
I always have great plans of getting it all done early! Yeah right!
I'm the biggest procrastinator there is...Christmas Eve shopping was made for me!
I'm hoping this year I'm more on top of things...we're having Christmas at our house..so this forces me to be a little more on the ball!
I am an in-betweener. Does that count? I mainly like the holiday build up (starting from mid december and ending on Christmas). But once Christmas ends, it is boring again.
I have to be somewhat of an early bird because so many people on my Christmas list are also birthdays in Fall. So I do all the shopping simultaneously.

Holidays...I am good, love to pick things out.
Vacations...not so good, leaving SUnday and 2 million things not done.
Seriously I bet if I have to go Christmas shopping for my nephew or future children, I will probably buy the presents and minutes later tell everyone what I bought them. I am just a person who can not hold a surprise for to long.
Always the day of Thanksgiving, in the evening I start putting up the decorations for Christmas it is a two day job, but it is fun. Christmas is my favorite time of year.

Like I said, I like the build up for it (decorating, the music, buying & wrapping gifts, going to midnight mass) but after that last gift is unwrapped, I just want the next Christmas to come around again.
I love the holiday atmosphere, and the decorations and all, but I don't do much personal gift-giving. Too much stress on me. My family generally does a lottery draw, and you buy one gift. I can nearly handle that , but even then sometimes I'm late getting that in the mail.
Holidays are generally an excuse to get that thing you've wanted but can't justify the expense. At least for hubby and I. Neither one of us are much on the secret gift thing. Maybe I'm a party pooper, I don't know.
I love the holidays, but hate the stress.

We usually don't wait for christmas to open our presents anymore since everyone has grown up. Heck, my mom purchased my gifts right in front of me last year.
How on earth did I get 23 people on my Christmas list? That's not even counting the run of birthdays!

Boyfriend, his mom & dad
5 friends, their collective 3 kids
And it'd be more if another friend were local (but she'll have to make do with a card because I'm going BROKE this year!)
I hope folks don't mind getting a $10 Starbucks or Best Buy card, because that's all I can afford!

I have already started shopping for the Wolfette. Usually still buy a couple of days before Santa arrives. I leave for the Thanksgiving weekend, after dinner of course on Thursday, while Wolfman puts up lights etc. This year we are heading 2 miles away to the GCH (long trip I know)! We don't put up the tree and house decorations until around 2 weeks before the 25th! Works out great for us!

Love to holiday shop! In our extended family, we decided to purchase gifts only for the children. Gifts are toys, clothing and a book. Parents get homemade treats, chocolates or coffee. It helps out in the pocketbook. PS. I start looking for sales now.
