Got any ideas for activities for kids to do at a Halloween party?

My daughter planned a party for Saturday the 29th and invited 23 friends. They are going to be here from 6:45 -9:45 pm. Got any ideas for things to do that will keep them entertained and out of trouble for 3 whole hours? They are in 5th grade!

    Watch Harry Potter

What on earth are you going to do with a house full of 10-yr olds??? Oy.

Here's a thought: go buy a hundred or so latex balloons, fill them up with just regular air and scatter them all over the floor. 10-year olds can think up a TON of things to do with them! Pop 'em, keep them up in the air beachball-style, draw on them with markers, etc. (eg: providing them with easy trouble to get in so they don't get into worse)

Are they all girls or are they girls and boys?

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Here was a great game that I found on the internet.

    Take a couple of bowls.
Make sure whoever is going to put their hands in the bowls are blindfolded.
Put grapes in one and tell them its eyeballs.
Put gummy worms in another and tell them its intestines.
Put jello in another and tell them its brains. (make sure the jello is only semi solid)

Its a fun game and it grosses them out at the same time. hehe I'm sure there are other things you could do but that's all I can remember off the top fo my head.

    They are girls and boys!

I'm thinking of setting up the party in the garage!

I'm scared to have them inside my house!!

I've had lots of junior high youth group parties at my house but there are always about 5 or 6 leaders to help me corral the kids! This time it's just my hubby and me, but maybe I can get my three teenagers to help too!

Maybe they can play hide and go seek in your back yard at night (with adult supervision of course). That is fun. Perhaps you can turn out the lights play music and put a strobelight on. Or make up some fun game off of the top of your mind. It is easy to do and they will probably be willing to play including is candy is involved. Maybe you can make a little fort or something out of sheets and pretend it is haunted. Man I am getting excited. I think I may just do this for myself on Halloween LOL.

Garage is a good idea, but it's not going to be big enough for 21 people.

If you have a backyard, you should let them have fun in the garage and backyard at the same time (plus they will not be able to go inside). Have some halloween music playing too. I remember a few years back when my friend and I decided to decorate his from porch with Christmas stuff as the trick or treaters came up. Needless to say the parents looked very confused and the children were scared LOL.

Donuts on a string!!(if you could do it)
I've done this at all the kids Halloween parties.
You use powdered donuts(the mini kind) and slip ribbon(curling ribbon for presents works good)through the holy and tie it, tack the end of the ribbon to the ceiling. THe kids have to have their hands behind their backs, do it in groups of no more than 4, same age. The first to eat their donut off the string wins.

Mummy wraps. Teams of two. One is the mummy, the other one "wraps" get tons of cheapie toliet paper. The first person to wrap their mummy is the winner.

Disney Trivia, always a winner around here!

Halloween Bingo, you can usually find seasonal bingo cards online to download and print out.

How about telling ghost stories? There are usually books of tales at the library, and some of them deal with legendary stories that aren't too scary for young kids. Dim the lights and have the storyteller read by a small flashlight, maybe with some background spooky music.

Decorate trick-or-treat bags using brown-paper supermarket bags and markers, etc.

As backup for a slow time, maybe borrow a karaoke machine.

When all else fails, supply candy!

its all about Halloween Parties from games, crafts, food and what not.

I would recommend all families with kids and kids at heart to take a look at this site. It is Disney related and has a lot of seasonal and other everyday type of ideas for the kids to do.
Always keep smiling because you never know who is falling in love with it.

Pictionary, Halloween version, making cards up with monsters, movies, characters...etc...

And there's always the classic...telling Scary Stories by flashlight. Change it up by having each person tell a part of the story....
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
    Marge: Pink.
    Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"
